A most interesting and cool little place!  Though it took us a while to find (even GPS was having a tough time), it was worth the search.  As the write-up I had come across stated, it’s definitely a cozy little neighborhood tavern that happens to serve an abundance of craft beers and some really unique food items.  I’m not going to complain about the quantity of our choices since their prices are SO reasonable and we certainly didn’t leave there hungry!

We arrived during happy hour, so all of the appetizers and beers were $2 off.  Our server, who was also the bartender and pretty much EVERYTHING (except the cook) was great.  She was friendly and very attentive in spite of the fact that there were quite a few people at the bar.  We started with the Meat & Cheese Boat, which sounded more substantial than it actually was, but was definitely enough for us to share.  Mr. Z decided to try the Bolognese Pierogis, which was one of the daily specials.  He said it was really good and enjoyed it.  I ordered the Potato Bacon Pierogis and added the kielbasa and kraut for an additional couple of $.  The two side sauces I picked were the sriracha sour cream and the creamy dill, neither of which were overly exciting.  The kielbasa was really good and though the pierogis were good as well, I couldn’t detect any hint of bacon whatsoever.  Basically, they were just potato pierogis, but good ones.  I think that if I had any complaints at all, it would be with regard to the portions (I know – I said I wasn’t going to complain about that)!  The amount of kraut (which came in a tiny little ramekin) which accompanied my kielbasa, as well as the two dipping sauces, was so tiny that it was almost like having none at all.  I’m pretty sure that I could have asked for more of the sauces (probably not the kraut), but didn’t bother.  This was just an observation though and certainly wouldn’t prevent us from going back.  Like I said, a very cool little hangout with some great bar food!
