Johnny J’s Pub & Grille

19 October, 2016 | Bar and Grill, Irish | By: Mrs Z

This Irish-style bar and grille, though not really ‘new’ to Strongsville (formerly Johnny Malloy’s), has been recently renamed and remodeled and is a really great addition to the area.  The inside is really warm and inviting and VERY large.  There is an outdoor patio, and while that’s always a good thing; looking out on a […]

Sully’s Irish Pub

16 May, 2014 | Irish | By: Mrs Z

I was so excited to finally be able to try this place after having driven right by it probably dozens of times and never even having noticed it.  Nor had we ever heard anyone mention it, at all.  My first attempt had been a couple of months ago (the day AFTER St. Patrick’s Day) and […]

Flat Iron Cafe

20 June, 2012 | Irish, Sports Bar | By: Mrs Z

We may be the only ones who have lived in this area for 25+ years, have spent time in the Flats, yet have never been to this long-standing Irish pub, so it was long overdue.  Definitely not a disappointment either as both the service and the food were a testament as to why it has lasted so many years […]

P.J.McIntyre’s

Good old-fashioned Irish Pub. Down the street from West Park Station (Kamms Corners) and was very cool looking inside. The food was great – excellent corned beef and many other Irish dishes.

An “Irish / Italian” sports bar!! Well, great concept, but the service was lacking and the food wasn’t that great.  There was nothing unique or intesting on the menu and everything we did try was either pre-packaged or obviously frozen.  Too many sports bars to go back to this one.

A very unique Irish bar menu.  The service was somewhat slow and the food was ‘ok’ – not outstanding, but okay.  The Irish nachos were pretty good (corned beef, sauerkraut and melted swiss on tortilla chips – with of course, Thousand Island dressing to dip)!

Nighttown

Very cool little place with a warm and inviting feel to it.  Sort of leans towards an Irish theme and there were several really good Irish dishes on the menu.  We had heard that they do alot of live music on the weekends, but unfortunately it was pretty quiet on a Tuesday.  Will have to […]

Mavis Winkle’s

A really neat little Irish sports bar!  Everything we had was very good (Irish eggrolls – yum).  Good service and a cool atmosphere.

Sullivan’s Irish Pub

A good neighborhood Irish pub.  While we didn’t find it to be as good as The Harp, they did have a few menu items that were interesting.  Unfortunately, our visit took place on a very cold night and the place was freezing.  That didn’t lend itself to a ‘relaxing’ meal, but it was good nevertheless.

The Harp

A wonderful Irish restaurant!  Since it’s been around forever, I’m surprised we’d never tried it before.  Everything we had was very good and the service was excellent – very friendly and responsive.  Highly recommend one of the 3 “boxtys” they offer!  I had the corned beef one which was corned beef, swiss cheese, and sauerkraut, folded […]
