Rose’s Italian Kitchen

22 January, 2020 | Italian | By: Mrs Z

Very cool place and very sorry it’s on the East Side of the city, rather than a bit closer to home! Though their menu wasn’t huge, they had a little of everything and the portions are huge.  The entrees don’t come with a salad or side, so I ordered a house salad and was shocked […]

Burntwood Tavern

26 March, 2015 | Bistro | By: Mrs Z

We were a bit disappointed in this particular Burntwood Tavern location; having been to their Chagrin Falls place and loving it!  I guess we expected the same level of quality and it just wasn’t there. Though they don’t have a huge menu; it was a nice selection of

Station 43 Tavern

9 December, 2014 | Bar, Pizza, sandwiches / soups / salads | By: Mrs Z

Though we’ve driven past this place many times over the years, we may never have stopped in had we not been in the area for other reasons.  Nothing too fancy, inside or out, but the authentic “firehouse” décor adds some interest to the inside.  The good news is that this small bar/grille had a pretty […]

Rusty Bucket

2 April, 2014 | Sports Bar | By: Mrs Z

A very cool place.  Although apparently a chain, we had never heard of them and were anxious to try this neat sports bar!  We weren’t disappointed.  Nice interior without the “feel” of a sports bar, nor the overpowering noise.  Their menu was pretty extensive with some unique sounding items.  Our server told us they had […]

Imperial Wok

14 November, 2012 | Chinese | By: Mrs Z

Initially, we were a bit skeptical to try this place since every time we passed it, it looked like it was no longer in business, (which we discovered was due to the mirrored windows), however it looked like it had lots of promise, so I was pleased to see a nice write-up about it in […]

Benny’s

20 March, 2012 | Italian, Sports Bar | By: Mrs Z

What a find! This place was billed as a bar and grill and turned out to have some pretty outstanding Italian food. A huge piece of lasagna and a “small” calzone were shared and both were delicious. Just the right amount of really good sauce and LOTS of cheese (always the key to making anything […]

DaDonna’s

25 May, 2010 | Italian | By: Mrs Z

Everything was very good, but unfortunately I didn’t care for their red sauce. The place was very empty, even for a Tuesday so the service was pretty good.  They have a nice menu, but there are just way too many VERY GOOD Italian restaurants that we’d rather go to, so doubtful we’ll revisit this one.
