Lindey’s Lake House

1 January, 2020 | Bar and Grill, Bistro, Seafood | By: Mrs Z

Having studied the online menu at Lindey’s Lake House several times over the past year or so, and having decided it just didn’t sound overly interesting, it turned out that Mr. Z chose it this Tuesday night.  I was actually pretty excited since I had seen several things on the menu that appealed to ME, […]

Nile Seafood Market and Restaurant

29 December, 2018 | Seafood | By: Mrs Z

Hmmmm, such an interesting place that I’m not even sure how to describe it.  We were a bit uncomfortable when we first walked in since there was literally nobody else in the place except Hanni, the owner/manager.  When you first walk in, to your left is a very long seafood counter with tons of fresh […]

Kingfish Seafood Restaurant

29 December, 2016 | Seafood | By: Mrs Z

As one would expect from a Hospitality Restaurant, Kingfish did not disappoint!  Having visited Blue Point and several other restaurants in the group, our expectations were high and we were pleased not to have been let down.  Though on the pricey side, both the service and the food were exceptional.  The atmosphere was upscale and […]

Fat Fish Blue

13 January, 2009 | Seafood | By: Mrs Z

Loved this place.  It was really good – both service and food were terrific- neat menu and awesome cornbread.  Found out as we were cashing out that they were closing for good the following week (boo).

The Lobster Trap

25 November, 2008 | Seafood | By: Mr Z

They had only been open 2 weeks, so there were many kinks to work out.  The food was good; the service questionable though.  It has potential if it stays in business.  It’s in a pretty ‘out of the way’ location so if they aren’t good enough for word to travel, they may be doomed.   […]

Key West Cafe

11 November, 2008 | Bistro, Seafood | By: Mr Z

This place was VERY good with a widely diverse menu – many items are those you’d find in beachy towns like Key West, etc.  Great service and very reasonable prices.

Flakey’s

31 July, 2007 | sandwiches / soups / salads, Seafood | By: Mr Z

Wow, after finally finding it, it was very good.  Definitely NOT a fancy place.  No table service – counter order and pickup, but outstanding grouper sandwiches (which is the reason we sought it out).  To look at this place, I’m not sure what made us even go in.  It was really rundown and pretty nasty […]

Bahama Breeze

3 July, 2007 | Caribbean, Seafood | By: Mr Z

This was a pretty cool place, especially considering that it’s a national chain.  Their cuban sandwiches are excellent and VERY authentic.  The garlic shrimp was outstanding – large shrimp prepared just right with just the right amount of garlic (alot).  The service was prompt and friendly and we can’t wait to go back.

Sushi Rock

24 April, 2007 | Seafood | By: Mr Z

Excellent sushi and wouldn’t hesitate to go back.  Thankfully since I’m the only sushi-lover between us, they did have other menu items for those who are not, such as one of the best pieces of Chilean Sea Bass EVER!!!  This having been our first visit, I think I’d study the menu a little more carefully next […]

Mitchell’s Fish Market

23 January, 2007 | Seafood | By: Mr Z

We thought the food was good, not amazing and the service was good, not outstanding.  We had heard others rave about this place and were a little disappointed that it didn’t knock our socks off.  Unfortunately there just aren’t THAT MANY great seafood places to choose from, so we’d be willing to try it again!
