Hudson’s

What an excellent choice….. neat decor, outstanding service and delicious food.  I had a shrimp and lobster flatbread with many kinds of cheese (comfort food at it’s best).  He had a wonderful chicken sandwich (grilled on homemade bread) which was so good, we decided to share.  Can’t wait to go back!

Glenwood Grille

Valentine’s Day Dinner!  He cheated a little since he had been here for the first time (lunch) recently.  My dish was good (Asiago Chicken w/ spinach and vegetable risotto), but not exceptional.  I don’t think he was crazy about his (shrimp scampi – which he said was missing the scampi and was very dry and […]

Burntwood Tavern

9 August, 2011 | Bistro | By: Mrs Z

A cute, quaint little tavern / bar right next door to Violante’s. The “Burntwood” in the name comes from the fact that it smells like BURNT WOOD inside (but not in a bad way). Food was pretty good (sandwiches, salads, soups, etc.) and the service was pretty good too.

Bricco Italian Cafe

Amazingly good considering it was attached to a hotel (Doubletree – not usually fans of hotel restaurants). Really nice patio and good service.

B Spot

Decided to “pass” on the place that had been our original choice.  It was in a questionable location and we didn’t feel as though the experience would have had a positive outcome. As for B Spot – it’s a typical Michael Symon restaurant.  The burgers and shakes were really good, but in all honesty, we both […]

Hiroshi’s Pub

Interesting little bistro-like place located in an office park with a very diversified menu including many BBQ selections, sushi, Italian, etc. and ALL good. Very reasonable prices and the server (Christina) was outstanding!!!

The South Side

Owned by same people that own Fahrenheit – very cool little place across from Parallax. Bar-like menu with many “small plates”. Good service, nice atmosphere.

Deagan’s Kitchen & Bar

Very cool place located where Barnacle Bill’s used to be. Very interesting menu – not too extensive, but a huge beer selection. Enough on the menu to please anyone and great service.

Tres Belle

Located next door to Ken Stewart’s Lodge – a very cool place.  The entrees are very limited, but bistro-type pizzas, awesome salads and great service.

Triv’s

Bad weather restricted going too far from home, so after all this time, we decided to try this place right in our own neighborhood (since we’d driven by there hundreds of times).  It was VERY pricey with a very limited menu, but everything was OK .  It’s doubtful that we’d go back, but we know that it’s got a huge […]
