Condado
Condado is amazing!!! Though we’ve been to Barrio (Lakewood location), and similar as they are, somehow our experience at Condado just totally exceeded our expectations. This was no small accomplishment on their part since they had only opened this location 3 days before our visit and EVERYTHING was running just as smoothly as though they’d been there for years!
Our server, Brooke, was phenomenal. Even though the place was packed and she clearly had tons of other parties to take care of, she was checking back with us roughly every 5 minutes just to make sure we were doing ok and if we needed anything. Even if our food wasn’t as good as it was, we’d go back just for her!
We were looking for their lightest of light bottled beers, so she suggested “Victoria” which came with a sliced lime (similar to the way Corona is served). It was perfect and went beautifully with our tacos. It’s difficult to describe what we had, but if you like tacos, there is really no possible way to go wrong here. You can virtually create ANYTHING that sounds good to you. I do suggest the ‘Sweet Lucy Shells’ (hard corn tortilla inside a soft shell….perfect). We each had the El Tradicional on the Sweet Lucy shell. The chicken was really moist and tender and though this sounded like a boring basic taco, it was anything but. We then each created one more. Mr. Z went with chicken again but added a different sauce. I had one with pulled pork and some pineapple salsa (and some other ingredients I can’t remember) and it was AMAZING!
I cannot say enough about Condado – even if you’re not a lover of tacos, tequila and margaritas (who ISN’T)…..there’s nothing not to love here!
