Georgetown

1 July, 2015 | Fine Dining | By: Mrs Z

Formerly Three Birds (which we had been to numerous times); Georgetown is the epitome of casual elegance.  With a wide variety of entrees and appetizers to choose from, it would be difficult not to find something to suit everyone.

Thankfully, the weather was perfect when we visited, so we opted to eat on the patio (which is huge and multi-level).  Our server was pretty attentive, but it seemed she was stretched pretty thin, so trying to get her attention was a little tough.  Though there were several specials to choose from, I ordered the Prosciutto Wrapped Chicken Cutlets and they were delicious.  Mr. Z went with the Chicken Parmesan, figuring he couldn’t go wrong.  While the portion was quite generous and the chicken was tender and juicy, the dish was smothered in sauce (a big negative) and sadly, the sauce was definitely on the spicy side.  Everyone has a different threshold for spice and I would have thought he was exaggerating had I not tried it myself (my tolerance is much greater).  This may suit most folks, but Chicken Parm is a traditional Italian dish and I guess you just don’t expect it to be overly spicy; particularly since there was no mention of that in the description.  Overall, we really enjoyed Georgetown and may return; however, the issue with the Chicken Parmesan was a big negative in our book.
