Lone Tree Tavern

4 June, 2015 | Bar and Grill | By: Mrs Z

Contrary to past history; we decided to do a burger joint two weeks in a row, but unlike our visit to P J Marley’s, Lone Tree’s burger was phenomenal.  Like many other places we’ve visited, we’ve driven by Lone Tree many times and never gave it a second glance.  It’s located in a non-descript little strip center right by the turnpike on Lorain Rd.  Always eager to discover someplace that doesn’t ‘appear’ to be anything special, but turns out to be; we gave this place a try and were not at all disappointed.  For a Tuesday, they were pretty packed and in spite of the fact that apparently 2 of their servers called off this day, the service was pretty darned good.  They have a nice (and very large) patio which was really comfortable, so we sipped our beers with some music playing in the background (not blaring thankfully) out on the patio while we waited for our food.  I had the black and bleu burger, which as I said, was unbelievable.  When most places ask how I want my burger done, I always respond, but never expect it to come that way – and it usually doesn’t.  This time I was not disappointed – it was perfect.  Everything about it was perfect!  Mr. Z had the turkey wrap, which he said was the best he’s had anywhere.  I must also mention that their sweet potato fries were some of the best ever (worth the extra $1.50 substitution charge)!

We gave Lone Tree a definite two thumbs up – and we WILL go back!
