Quite a bit different than we remembered from it’s days as Saucy Bistro!  They’ve done some extensive remodeling inside and we couldn’t figure out if it is smaller or larger, but definitely different.  With the exception of a Kiwanis club meeting in the back room, there was only one other couple there besides us, which doesn’t bode well for success.  Of course, it WAS a Tuesday night; who knows – they may be lined up out the door on the weekends.  Oddly, their on-line menu is either outdated, or really new since last week because I don’t see the item I ordered on there (also, it may have been a special).  I decided to go with just a Caesar salad and an appetizer, which was some type of shrimp dish.   Unfortunately, the Caesar was probably one of the LEAST exciting I’ve ever had, but the shrimp appetizer was delicious – a nice portion of good-sized shrimp in a tangy sauce.  Mr. Z also had a Caesar salad, which he was equally unimpressed with, but he had the grilled salmon which he said was very good.  In all honesty, though, “something” is lacking in the atmosphere that we just couldn’t put our finger on.  The upside was that since the place was practically empty, the service was excellent!  Overall, I’m not sure we’d go back – they are on the pricey side and there are simply too many other restaurants out there on that same level that we have enjoyed more.
