Taco Tontos

15 July, 2018 | Mexican | By: Mrs Z

Though Taco Tontos is pretty much a hole-in-the-wall little place at, their menu is way more diverse than I could even begin to go into, so you have to check it out.  Custom made, as well as some standard, tacos and burritos are their specialty and though I wish I’d been able to try everything, if what we did have is any indication of their complete menu, we are anxious to go back and explore the other items.  Mr. Z had the chicken burrito, which was loaded (I mean PACKED…..) with tender, juicy chicken, rice, sour cream and LOTS of cheese.  I had the beef burrito, which to my pleasant surprise, was shredded beef rather than chunks and was also very tender (I was afraid it would be tough, leathery chunks of beef).  In addition to the rice, mine had my choice of beans on it (pinto or black beans), but was minus the sour cream – very, very good.  Our server, Stevie, had a great personality and was really helpful in explaining the various menu items.  We also had the queso and chips to start, which was perfect.  Can’t think of too many places you can walk out of stuffed (including beer) for less than $25.  We’ll definitely go back.

Taco Tontos is located at:
