Brown Sugar Thai Cuisine
Brown Sugar Thai Cuisine had much promise, but sadly didn’t deliver! On this Tuesday night, they had a few patrons but for the most part, they were relatively empty. The service was prompt and the menu interesting. I started with the coconut soup which was okay, but a little too sweet. Mr. Z had the wonton soup which he said was good. For our entrees I played it safe (I thought) and ordered the regular Pad Thai…..which was a huge disappointment. The noodles were mushy, as though it had been overcooked, and the rest was bland and boring – almost no flavor whatsoever. Mr. Z had the Brown Sugar Garden (with chicken) which he said was ok, but also very bland. It was basically some chicken with very lightly steamed vegetables and the sauce was delivered in a small cup that he was to pour over the dish himself. I tasted it and he was right….pretty unexciting.
Overall, not much atmosphere and highly doubtful that we would ever go back to this particular Thai place again.
