Cafe Piccolo

1 November, 2017 | Italian | By: Mrs Z

Café Piccolo was an outstanding, relatively new Italian restaurant we practically stumbled across when we visited Heck’s Café a couple of weeks ago and decided (given our love for Italian food) that we just had to try it.  It was almost a joke between us to see which one of us would pick it first.  Mr. Z won that one, but no complaints from me.

Our server (Kim) was wonderful….attentive and personable.  I started with the house salad, which was very good (great housemade Balsamic vinaigrette).  Mr. Z had a Caesar salad which he said was one of the best he’d ever had.  I strayed from my usual eggplant parm and went, instead, with the Chicken Parmesan.  It was amazing and I really struggled to finish every last bite, but I skipped the side of spaghetti it came with (wish they had angel hair on the menu, but they don’t).  I’m not a huge marinara lover, but theirs was delicious.  Mr. Z had the lasagna which he said was almost (??) as good as mine.

Overall, with the exception of no angel hair pasta, Café Piccolo was truly great and we plan to return.
