Felix & Oscar’s Pub
I’m ashamed that it has taken me a full week to get this posted; particularly since we were very anxious to share it with everyone! The gigantic space at the corner of Clague and Detroit Roads, formerly occupied by Panini’s (and M Bistro before that, and originally the legendary Panorama) is now Felix and Oscar’s Pub and we’re hoping that it gets the recognition (and crowd) that it deserves!
It seems there are an over-abundance of sports bars out there, so anyone coming onto the scene will need to do something a little different to set themselves above the others and we think that Felix & Oscar’s is on the right track. Aside from their menu, which offers some things that are unique and different than you might find at a typical sports bar, the enormous patio and sand volleyball area are a huge draw.
I decided I was going to stick with my usual, so I had the spinach salad which was wonderful, mainly due to the house-made dressing(s). While most people think a salad is just a salad; being a salad lover, I heartily disagree! A salad can be bland and boring, OR it can be an awesome, all depending on the ingredients and the dressing and this was far from bland and boring! Another menu item that they feature is an assortment of potato skins. These are not your average potato skins with cheese, sour cream and bacon, but their own take on the classic. One of several choices was the Rueben Potato Skins (which I had). These were filled with exactly what you’d expect from a Rueben – corned beef, sauerkraut and melted swiss cheese; served with house-made Thousand Island dressing for dipping! They were amazing! Mr. Z had the teriyaki Salmon which he said was delicious – just as good as you’d find in any ‘fine dining’ establishment.
They had only been open for business 9 weeks when we visited, so we’re hoping that the lack of crowd we experienced on this Tuesday evening wasn’t a true indication of how they’re going to fare and as soon as the word spreads, business will be booming…..so give them a try and then spread the word!

Mr & Mrs Z thank you both for taking the time to stop in and visit. While we have been open for only 9 weeks we have been making improvements weekly on the menu and with the staff. We are planning many promotions that will really excite our patrons. Our current promotion we are raffling off a 2015 Chevy Equinox. No purchase necessary, just stop in and say hi.
