Mezza Mediterranean Cuisine

9 September, 2015 | Mediterranean | By: Mrs Z

We weren’t too sure what to expect of Mezza, so it really didn’t disappoint except for the fact that they have no liquor license, but given the type of place it is; we really shouldn’t have expected it (hopeful maybe, but not really a disappointment).  Mezza is located in a little strip center on Center Ridge Road right next to Stella Mia’s (which is exceptional), so at least we were familiar with the area.  While it is a “dine in” establishment, there’s no table service.  Basically you decide what you want, order at the counter and they call you when your order is ready and you go up and get it.  There are coolers with soft drinks, iced tea and they have a pot of coffee off to one side.

For the type of food they offer, it was really good.  I say this only because Mr. Z isn’t notoriously adventuresome when it comes to his dining choices and this was HIS pick, so I was a little surprised.  Had I been a little more familiar with the menu and what each item was, I may have chosen something different, but I had the Mezza Gyro and while it was very good; there was almost too much gyro meat on there for one person.  I also tried the roasted red pepper hummus which was delicious.  Mr. Z had the Chicken Club Pita which he said was good, but it was “just a chicken sandwich”.  Overall, Mezza was good but had I done some homework and known what to order, I may have chosen something different and enjoyed it more.
