Graffiti – A Social Kitchen

9 September, 2015 | Bistro, Fine Dining | By: Mrs Z

Well it seems like Brian Okin has done it again!  Cork and Cleaver is pretty amazing; but Graffiti is no less awesome, offering some of the most interesting and unusual-sounding dishes we’ve encountered, but everything we tried was a huge two thumbs up!

Though there were so many temptations on the menu; after seeing one of our local TV personalities help prepare and devour the Walleye, I couldn’t even consider anything else.  It totally lived up to and exceeded my expectations.  I started with the wedge and was concerned that it wouldn’t leave room for my entrée, but it was the perfect size and probably the best (and most unique) wedge I’ve ever had.  Mr. Z had the Monte Cristo, which if you just consider the name; would lead you to believe it’s the typical Monte Cristo sandwich, right?  Not the case at all – an absolutely amazing dish with the most tender pork tenderloin I’ve ever tasted (yes, he let me have a bite…..but just one).  You have to try to believe and once you do, you’ll never look at pork tenderloin the same!

As if we weren’t already stuffed; our server Chuck (who was also awesome – very fun, knowledgeable and attentive) persuaded us to at least share dessert; so we ordered the “Fat Kid” which really sounded too bizarre to even consider (I mean seriously….who would have thought that bacon and French fries would work so well with ice cream, hot fudge and the rest of the toppings), but it was unbelievable and we all but licked the plate clean!

Congratulations to Brian and his team for another hit….we’ll be back!
