Mike’s Bar and Grille
Mike’s Bar and Grille was recommended by one of our doctors and we really owe him a big thank you!!! What a cool place – and very surprising that not only had we never been there before, but weren’t even aware of its existence. It’s right on Front Street in Berea and looks like a hole-in-the-wall corner bar; but once inside it’s warm and inviting, though definitely not a huge place. Victoria, our server, was awesome and treated us as though we were regulars that had been coming there for years. The menu is surely not your typical ‘bar food only’ menu. There were a number of entrees, as well as some unique bar-type choices. I started with their buffalo eggrolls which were great. I had the half order, which was more than enough for one person. They were huge and packed full of shredded buffalo chicken. Not too spicy, but with a nice kick. For my entrée, I went with the seasonal salad, which was mixed greens with sliced almonds, strawberries, blueberries and snap peas, served with a lemon poppyseed dressing. After the buffalo eggroll, I needed something healthy and light and this was it – perfect. Mr. Z had the Philly Cheesesteak, which he said was the best he’d ever had.
Now that we know Mike’s is right around the corner, we’ll soon become regulars (thanks Doc)!!!
