Stella Mia Ristorante

7 January, 2015 | Italian | By: Mrs Z

WOW….what a great find this place was!  Formerly Panos (which we had enjoyed; mainly for breakfast); Stella Mia is the epitome of an Italian, fine dining, ristorante; yet the $$ weren’t that much more than you’d expect to shell out at your local little family-owned neighborhood Italian place.  The menu was gigantic, with everything that you’d expect to see on an Italian restaurant menu; plus a few unique and really interesting-sounding dishes.  This being our first visit; we opted for the standard Italian fare since that’s the best way to determine just how good they are.  I had the eggplant rolatini and substituted the herb risotto for the angel hair!  OMG – it was fabulous.  The eggplant was done to perfection and rolled around lots of yummy cheese, with just enough Marinara sauce to not mask the flavor of the eggplant.  Just perfect!!  The risotto was some of the best I’d ever had.  Mr. Z tried the lasagna and thought it was delicious – though just a little watery, but not so much so as to detract from how good it was.  Our only disappointment was the bread!  I know – a minor issue in the whole big picture.  One of the best parts of our visit was Tina, our server.  She was super attentive and had a great personality.  Even if the food weren’t awesome (which it was); we may go back just because of her!!
