Stonebrook Clubhouse (and Driving Range)
This place may be the best kept secret in the area, because we’ve driven by there many, many times since they’ve been open and NEVER knew it was a restaurant in addition to being a driving range and golf school, therefore I am hoping to spread the word…..Stonebrook is AWESOME!
Their menu was a big surprise, since we expected them to offer mostly just bar-type food with a couple of mediocre entrees thrown in and that the food would be – just ok at best! Holy moly…..the menu was amazing with some really interesting takes on common dishes. I started with the Hanky Pank which was really yummy. Mr. Z kicked-off his meal with the soup of the day, which was lasagna soup. It was a huge departure for him since he’s pretty much a “chicken noodle soup” kind of guy. He loved it! From there it just got better. For my entrée I had the Spinach and Artichoke Chicken, but substituted mashed sweet potatoes and the brussel sprouts for the regular mashed potatoes and sautéed vegetables. It was absolutely delicious! For his entrée, Mr. Z ordered the Chicken Parm, which could have turned out to be a disaster, but he said it was really good!
To top off the positive experience, our server, Megan, was terrific! She was super attentive, knowledgeable about everything on the menu and overall just a really fun and pleasant person. We are so excited that we discovered Stonebrook and can’t wait to return, so we’re urging everyone…..give it a try and then tell everyone you know how great it is!
