Yard House

3 December, 2015 | Bistro, Sports Bar, Traditional / American | By: Mrs Z

Having heard that Yard House was “coming soon” and then being told that we “absolutely HAD to try it”, we did!  Very cool place, but if you’re looking for an intimate, quiet place to carry on conversation; this is NOT the place!  Also, if you’re a first-timer, you should allow at least 15 minutes to study the menu since it’s HUGE!  I can’t imagine anyone not finding something they would like at YH and most probably having to decide between 2 or 3 choices!

We started with the Chicken Noodle Soup (Mr. Z) and the Clam Chowder.  My chowder was perfect, but the chicken in Mr. Z’s noodle soup was like rubber and inedible (I tried it too……).  The manager arrived, apologized profusely and took it off our bill.  From that point, everything was awesome.  I had the Vampire tacos and decided to go with just the 3 tacos rather than the 2 tacos, with rice and beans.  They were excellent.  Mr. Z had the Southern Fried Chicken Breast, which was equally as good.  We (of course I had a bite) have never tasted chicken that tender (very much unlike the chicken in the noodle soup, so they redeemed themselves)!!!

Can’t wait to go back!
