Parma Tavern

6 December, 2011 | Sports Bar | By: Mr Z

A huge sports bar on State Rd. that we thought was really good. Excellent service and a wide variety of menu items that weren’t typical of your neighborhood sports bar. Great tuna salad and stuffed cabbage (not together, of course) and by far the BEST pierogis we’ve ever had!

Rocky’s Pizza & Italian Restaurant

13 September, 2011 | Italian, Pizza | By: Mr Z

Was a bit apprehensive when I saw the outside – dingy little place in an old worn out strip center; but…… once inside, was very impressed.  Décor was ok – a little worn, but certainly you could tell effort was put into making the most of a small space.  The service was good and the […]

Vivo Italian Ristorante

16 August, 2011 | Italian | By: Mr Z

Remarkably excellent Italian restaurant in Parma!  Set in what looks to be an old 7-11 strip center, but totally updated, contemporary décor inside.  Pretty extensive menu, outstanding service and again….. amazingly excellent food.  A bit pricey for Parma, but the quality of the food warranted the $$.

Playmaker’s

8 February, 2011 | Bar | By: Mr Z

Definitely your typical neighborhood corner bar – with JUST bar food.  Decent burgers, but again…..just burgers, wings, etc.

Bam Boozles Bar

16 November, 2010 | Bar | By: Mr Z

Surprisingly good! Definitely an ‘out of the way’ place (basement bar) where you have to drive around to the back of the building to even see a sign.  They had really good sandwiches and wonderful service.

Watami Japanese & Sushi Buffet

3 August, 2010 | Japanese | By: Mrs Z

Ordinarily I wouldn’t even consider a “sushi buffet”, but figured we’d give it a try and it did seem (?) fresh. They had a really large selection of different sushi rolls, sashimi and different cold salads that all “appeared” very appetizing.  On the other side was the Japanese buffet – all hot food…….that unfortunately WASN’T.  That was […]

Tony Maloney’s

27 April, 2010 | Irish, Italian, Sports Bar | By: Mrs Z

An “Irish / Italian” sports bar!! Well, great concept, but the service was lacking and the food wasn’t that great.  There was nothing unique or intesting on the menu and everything we did try was either pre-packaged or obviously frozen.  Too many sports bars to go back to this one.

Blue Moose Bar

6 April, 2010 | Bar | By: Mr Z

In a word…. disgusting!!  This place smelled so bad that even if the food was good, we couldn’t have enjoyed it!!  Definitely a very old BAR….on a positive note, the beer was good!

Anthony’s Sports Bar and Italian Restaurant

16 February, 2010 | Italian, Sports Bar | By: Mrs Z

A very odd combination – it called itself a “sports bar” but it didn’t LOOK like it since we were on the restaurant side.  Great service and food was unusually good.

Verso’s

9 February, 2010 | Bistro, Italian | By: Mr Z

A small little neighborhood Italian place – very “bistro-like”. Food was good – not fantastic, but good.
