Thirst & Ten
I have to say that at first sight, I had some serious doubts about this place! I think that if you look up “Dive Bar” in the dictionary, I’m pretty sure their picture is right there, but all snarkiness aside, we went in anyway and definitely had zero regrets. Don’t get me wrong, the atmosphere wasn’t any better on the inside than it was outside, but eventually we realized that their extensive menu and above average food made up for it.
When I say ‘extensive’ menu, I mean it. Not only did they have the typical bar food, but they had some unique items that I’m sure were their own creations. Since we were still a bit apprehensive, we decided to play it very safe. I ordered a chicken philly wrap, which was served hot and seriously very good. Mr. Z had a tuna wrap (cold). He did this only after asking our server, Sharon (who was really good), how they made their tuna salad. Once assured that no ‘weird’ ingredients were added, he went with that and was pleased to find out that just like she said; it was very good! I had tater tots with mine and Mr. Z had the fresh cut fries (which he said may have been the BEST ever).
Overall, we were very pleasantly surprised at how much we liked what we had at Thirst & Ten, but………there was nothing compelling enough for us to want to go back.
