Uncle Al’s Pizza Parlour
We weren’t even sure if this was an “eat-in” or a take-out only place, so we were greatly relieved to find a few tables inside a small but clean little pizza place. Thankfully they had a nice selection of beer and 3 good-sized televisions mounted around the room. You wouldn’t call it a sportsbar by any stretch, but it was obvious they were trying to keep their customers entertained while they waited – either for their food, or their take out orders. The young woman who waited on us was friendly and made a couple of recommendations which we found helpful. They are strictly pizza and sandwiches – no entrees, so we decided to try a large pizza (cheese only) and a meatball calzone. Both were pretty good – by far not the best of either we’ve had, but certainly not a huge disappointment either. Our server was attentive and when we needed something, she took care of it promptly. Their prices were pretty reasonable and overall it was a pleasant experience. Would we go back there………probably not – but only because we’ve found pizza / calzones that we thought were far superior, but that’s just our taste. Perhaps someone else would think this place was fabulous!
