Crown of India
I’m still having a hard time containing my excitement with regard to Crown of India! The fact that Strongsville now has an authentic Indian restaurant, and one as exceptional as Crown of India, is truly a feather in their cap! This big “win” is made even better by the fact that Mr. Z (who is not crazy about the seasonings used in Indian food) actually LOVED this place!
We decided to steer away from our usual fallback – Chicken Tikka Masala – and allowed our excellent server to recommend some dishes (based on our “not overly spicy” request). He scored big points. Of course, we tended to go a little overboard by starting with the Cheese Pakora, Chicken Stuffed Kulcha and of course, Garlic Naan. All were very good.
Following his recommendation; we ordered the Chicken Makhni and the Shrimp Do Piaza! Both were so outstanding we actually finished every bite – sopping up the last of the delicious sauce with our naan! He ‘gently urged’ us to finish our meal with the Gulab Jamun, which he assured us was very light (but very sweet). He was right again and we thoroughly enjoyed it!
We will most definitely become regulars at Crown of India!
