Eddie and Eddie’s

1 October, 2012 | Bistro | By: Mrs Z

In keeping with the both of their other restaurants, it seems that Eddie Cerino may have found another big hit with this one!  First – Carrie Cerino’s and then a few years ago, Pizzeria Cerino.  If they are an indication of how well he’ll do with this upscale hamburger joint, then he’s got a winner.  The setting is very simple and contemporary and though they do have other offerings on their menu, BURGERS are the main focus.  There are several unique and unusual combinations and all are cooked-to-order.  Since they’d only been open a little less than a month, it seems they may still have a few kinks that need working out (mostly service-related), but the server(s) were very friendly and tried their best to accommodate.  Though our burgers were definitely “good”, I’m not sure they warranted the $$$; and while their signature salad is said to be the brussel sprout salad (which we did not try); the regular house salad was pretty bland and boring, as was their house dressing.  One of the sides though, was outstanding!  The sweet potato croquette, which is served with a light maple syrup!  I could have had that and nothing else and been happy.  I will admit that for a stormy Tuesday night, the place was hopping, so whether or not it had to do with the “novelty” of a new place; or lots of repeat-customers……..only time will tell.
