Firebirds Wood Fired Grill
What a great addition Firebirds is to the East side of Cleveland. Though hard to find if you google and use GPS, it’s really easy if you just look for the new Pinecrest complex right off of I-271 and Harvard (you can actually see it from the highway).
The menu is expansive and unique enough to have something for every taste and everything is presented beautifully. Also, beware of the large portions – nobody will leave hungry! They were quite busy for a Tuesday night, but being relatively new and being located where they are, I guess we shouldn’t have been surprised. We did have reservations, which was probably wise. Our server, Mollie, was great and very helpful with her suggestions. We shared an order of the Ranch Rings (basically just your average onion rings, but really good – though a little on the greasy side). I decided to go easy, so I ordered the grilled salmon salad which was excellent. Of course, since I probably ate at least an entire basket of their delicious bread, it was probably good I went with something on the lighter side. Mr. Z had the 7 oz. filet which he said was one of the best he’d ever had (and that’s saying something)! I had a bite and had to agree…..it was perfect!
We will most definitely look forward to going back to Firebirds and trying some of the other menu items (and having more of that amazing BREAD J).
